INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

ENTER YOUR PICTURE THAT EMBODIES WALES AND WIN AN APPLE iPAD

Photography Competition

To celebrate St David’s Day, Study in Wales is launching a photography competition, open to all international students at Welsh universities and colleges.

Every year, Wales welcomes thousands of students from all over the world to study in Welsh universities and colleges, attracted here by our beautiful surroundings, a culture of academic excellence and an enviable lifestyle.

Here’s what we would like you to do:

We want you to capture a photo that embodies Wales; what you think depicts Wales as a nation and what makes it unique. We'd like your image to show how special Wales is, to encourage prospective international students to study here. We also want to shout about the creative, talented individuals emerging from Welsh universities and colleges... that’s YOU!

The winner will receive an Apple iPad, along with a framed print of their winning submission, which will be featured on the Study in Wales website.

Examples

How to submit your photograph

Send your selected photograph to info@studyinwales.ac.ukalong with a 200-word summary explaining how your image encapsulates Wales. If the file is too big, please include a WeTransfer link to the image in your email.

You must use your university or college email address to send us your entry, otherwise it will not be accepted - this is so we can verify that you are a student. You must also provide your name, your home country and the name of your college or university along with your submitted photograph.

The competition closes at midnight on 19.03.23 and you can only enter one picture.

What happens next?

From the shortlist, the judges will select one winner who will be announced on 31.03.21.

The prize for the winner will be an Apple iPad, along with a framed print of their winning submission, which will be featured on the Study in Wales website.
