One of the youngest universities in the UK, Wrexham Glyndŵr University was founded in 2008. However, its origins can be traced back to the Wrexham School of Science and Art in 1887 – and its name and ethos come from the 14th-century Welsh prince and scholar Owain Glyndŵr.
The University is small and friendly. Students quickly feel part of a vibrant, close-knit community, with a high level of support and personal attention.
It’s spread across four locations in North Wales (Wrexham Plas Coch, Wrexham Regent Street, St Asaph and Northop) that comprise modern facilities and beautiful listed buildings, as well as a satellite campus in London. The 14 academic schools offer a wide range of degree programmes and course options.
Wrexham Glyndŵr is an industry-led university with a strong emphasis on graduate employability. It has fostered strong links with leading local and regional employers, including Airbus, Kellogg’s, JCB and the BBC.
